The Survivor and Others is a collection of fantasy and horror short stories by August Derleth, inspired by some of H.P. Lovecraft's notes left behind after his death. Derleth, Lovecraft's literary executor, billed himself as a "posthumous collaborator" with the other writer. All of the stories, written after Lovecraft's death in 1937, were completed by Derleth from Lovecraft's notes or outlines.

Book is solid and clean; black binding cloth is dull with minor wear; gilt lettering on spine is age darkened; pages are clean and bright; former owner's name in black ink on inside top of front board.

Dust jacket front is clean and bright, with minor wear and rubbing; small chips and wear at top and bottom of spine and at top and bottom of front fold; flaps are clean and bright with original price clipped; rear cover is clean and bright.

Overall, this is a good copy of the book in a good to very good dust jacket.
