One of two forgotten manuscripts found among the Robert E. Howard papers in 1966, the other manuscript being The Thunder-Riders. The title tale is set in a remote, antediluvian period of pre-history, and peopled by a race who live-in typically Howardian fashion-by sword. The Thunder Riders is one of the last fantasies from the author's pen, set in a more modern era of a few centuries ago. Its hero is an American Indian, and its telling relates of the horror found in a lost city.
